Good morning, friend.

Today I’m sitting here at the Ohio County Park getting ready for Worship Fest with Three Hearts Keepsakes, and let me tell you…it is HOT. I’m already soaked, and we haven’t even officially gotten started yet! 😂 But there’s something else I want to share with you. I’ve already sold something, and the event hasn’t even begun.

I had to smile when I thought about that.

Sometimes we spend so much time worrying about what is going to happen that we forget God is already working before we even get started.

I’ll be honest with you. These events make me nervous. I have a lot invested in Three Hearts Keepsakes, and when I load up all of my products, displays, supplies, and everything else that goes along with doing an event, I can’t help but hope that people will come and that I’ll do well.

I don’t expect to make thousands of dollars. But I would really like to make a profit. And let’s be honest…that’s part of why we run a business, right? 😂

But I’ve also had to remind myself that this isn’t all about the money.

Today I’m surrounded by Christian and Gospel performers and speakers, families, children, and people simply coming together to enjoy a family-friendly event. There are lots of things for the kids to do, and I’m grateful that Three Hearts Keepsakes gets to be a small part of it.

So what can I do?

I can show up.

I can work hard.

I can smile.

I can talk to people.

I can do my part.

And then I have to leave the rest in God’s hands.

That’s sometimes the hardest part for me.

Leaving it in His hands.

I want to know how it’s going to turn out. I want to know if I’m going to make enough to cover my expenses. I want to know if people will like what I’ve made. I want to know if all the time and money I’ve invested will pay off.

But I don’t get to know all of that ahead of time.

What I do know is that I can call upon God.

I’ve also had a difficult week personally. I’ve been slow getting things posted, and I’ve been dealing with some medication changes that have really thrown things off. Something has been making it difficult for me to sleep, and if you know me, you know I need my sleep! 😂 I’ve reached out to my doctor because I need to figure out what’s causing it, and hopefully I’ll have some answers early this week.

So even in that, I’m learning the same lesson.

I don’t have to have everything figured out today.

I can do what I can do and leave the rest in His hands.

The verse that has been on my heart is:

“As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me. Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.”

Psalm 55:16–17 (KJV)

Evening.

Morning.

Noon.

Every part of the day.

He hears.

Maybe that’s what I need to remember today as I sit here in the heat, waiting for people to arrive and wondering how this event is going to go.

I don’t know what today will bring.

But God does.

So I’m going to do my part, enjoy the opportunity I’ve been given, meet some new people, hopefully sell some things, and trust Him with the outcome.

And honestly, that’s probably something I need to practice in more areas of my life than just my business.

What is something you’re carrying today that you need to leave in God’s hands?

I’m going to finish my coffee, wipe the sweat off, straighten up my booth, and get ready for Worship Fest. 😂

Whatever today brings, I’m choosing to trust that God is already there.

Until tomorrow, friends…❤️

Mandy
