A Little Time for Just Us
☕ Good morning, friends!
Today Matt and I are out doing a little yard selling, checking out some things, and just enjoying a day with the two of us. We aren’t really looking for anything in particular, and honestly, we probably won’t buy much. But isn’t that part of the fun? Sometimes it’s not about what you find or what you bring home. It’s just about getting out, looking around, laughing together, and enjoying the time. Not a fancy date just a no makeup get up a go day together.
Garrett is spending some time chilling at home, probably watching horror movies on AMC, so we’re taking advantage of having a little time that’s just for Matt and me. After all these years, I still love getting time with him. He’s my soulmate and the love of my life, and sometimes the ordinary days together are the ones I appreciate the most.
I’m also really looking forward to this weekend at church. We have our church business meeting tonight, and tomorrow we’re heading to a sister church for their homecoming. You know I love a good homecoming! There’s just something special about walking into a church, seeing familiar faces, catching up with good friends, worshipping together, and then enjoying some good food afterward. I’m looking forward to all of it.
And somehow, here we are already stepping into the holiday season! I’m actually really excited about it this year. I’m beginning to get some events booked, and I’m working on designs and products for all the holidays ahead. This is always such a fun time for Three Hearts Keepsakes because I get to start thinking about the things people will give to the people they love.
That got me thinking about gifts in general. When you’re shopping for the holidays, what do you usually look for? Are you someone who loves a homemade gift because it feels more personal and meaningful, or do you prefer something store-bought that you know the person has been wanting? Maybe you’re a little bit of both, depending on who you’re shopping for.
Personally, I love anything that feels like someone put some thought into it. There’s just something special about receiving a gift and knowing that someone thought about you when they chose or made it.
So tell me—when it comes to holiday gifts, are you Team Homemade, Team Store-Bought, or somewhere in the middle? And if you’re Team Homemade, what’s your favorite thing to make?
I might just use some of your answers to inspire what I’m creating for Three Hearts Keepsakes this holiday season. ❤️
Until Tomorrow….
Mandy
